I’ve Got Curls Again - Kind of!

As a curly girl, hats are a big challenge...I’m sure some of you can relate.  Even though my hair was short, it was still too BIG to make most hats work.  Now, that’s no longer a problem!  With my bald head I can wear a simple baseball cap without any issues.  However, my goal is to find hats that I can wear with anything. So far, I found one that I really like, but with the recent change in the weather it is no longer appropriate as it does not keep my exposed scalp warm, AT ALL.  The cooler weather is settling in here in Cbus and my search for hats continues!

Another option for head coverings that I am loving are wraps. I’ve spent several hours watching YouTube videos learning how to tie these so they don’t look a hot mess.  I started using my everyday extra-long scarves to create some beautiful turbans, but I wanted something a little more artistic on my head. I found some scarves with African prints on Etsy and they absolutely gorgeous! I’m still watching videos and practicing so my skills are improving, which is great since these wraps have become my go-to. I love the ease and the statement pieces these wraps become!

On days when I miss my hair, I can always wear some. Thanks to Paris at Salon One Paris, I’ve got curls again! This beautiful wig allows me to enjoy the look of a “head full of hair” without all the fuss. And, because it is made with quality hair from Her Hair Company, Inc, I can use 2 Girls with Curls products on it to keep it looking naturally big and beautiful. Our leave-in conditioner gets my wig right!

On warmer days I can channel Mary J. Blige with my hat wig - this look totally transported me into the 90’s! The red ponytail is so fun and playful - I almost started doing the running man, y’all! I can also rock a stylish fedora. The braids are actually sewn into the hat! Who knew this even existed?!

So many options and I am enjoying them all! Which is your favorite look?
